Alex Nicoll will be a copyediting intern at The Houston Chronicle this summer. Alex, raised in Dallas, is returning to Texas after graduating from the University of Arkansas in December. He spent two years as editor-in-chief at The Arkansas Traveler. Last summer, Alex was a Dow Jones News Fund business intern at TheStreet, where he covered the pharmaceutical industry. He hopes to return to business journalism at a publication like The Wall Street Journal or the Economist one day.
Alex has tattoos that remind him of the people in his life. He and his best friend, who was his college paper's managing editor, got anti-Oxford comma tattoos. Alex says, "Every time I see it, I think him and everything we've been through."
