Yelena is a senior at Baruch College in New York City. She is pursuing a triple major in English, journalism, and political science. This will be her second year as the editor of The Ticker, Baruch's student-run and completely independent newspaper. Yelena is an investigative news reporter who has established beats in  university frat misconduct, sexual harassment allegations against authors and other public figures, covert animal smuggling operations, and trauma recovery. And she is a fan of the Oxford comma.
