Theo DeRosa is a recent graduate of the University of Missouri's School of Journalism where he majored in sports journalism and statistics, and minored in Spanish. A native of Sacramento, California, DeRosa got into copy editing by helping his mother grade papers at the age of 8 and has since moved up the ladder to be an Assistant Sports Editor of the Columbia Missourian, his local newspaper. With an interest in local reporting, DeRosa will join the Omaha World-Herald, his first major newspaper internship, with an eye out for "local stuff" and "everyday mistakes". His advice for future interns is to take every opportunity to get involved. “In my internship, I’m most looking forward to covering the College World Series for the Omaha World-Herald,” DeRosa says. “I’ve loved baseball all my life, and getting to report on this event is very exciting.”
