Sorayah Zahir is an advertising senior with a business marketing minor. She considers her greatest strengths are in creative work, particularly graphic design and copywriting. She has six years of journalism experience, marked with awards and recognition from the Society of Professional Journalists, Texas Intercollegiate Press Association and the National Scholastic Press Association. She is a Dow Jones News Fund intern for summer 2018 at the Beaumont Enterprise. Previously, she has interned at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram which helped her gain skills to earn the Digital Managing Editor position at The Shorthorn in spring 2018. It combines her favorite things, social media, design, writing, studying analytics and encouraging people to do their best work. She is goal-oriented, enjoys problem solving and is a Pisces.
