Megan Wehring is a native of Belton, Texas. She recently graduated from Texas State University in San Marcos with a bachelor of science degree in journalism and mass communication, minored in media studies. At Texas State, Wehring served as the assistant news director and “In the Public Interest Producer” at KTSW FM-89.9. She was also a news reporter at the station for a year prior. Wehring enjoys utilizing her photography skills in mini sessions around San Marcos. She will join the Hays Free Press staff this summer by way of the Dow Jones News Fund and Texas Press Association.
