JJ Kim, a multiplatform editing intern, will be working at the San Francisco Chronicle in the summer of 2021. He is from Naperville, IL, and is a rising senior at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

He's a journalism major with a business minor and has spent three years at The Daily Illini, the university's independent student newspaper, where he was a sports writer, assistant sports editor, managing editor for reporting and editor-in-chief.

JJ is a die-hard Chicago Bears and Manchester United fan and hopes to live and work on the west coast.
