Emily is a rising senior at the University of Houston who studies print journalism and history. She served in a variety of roles on the school newspaper, The Cougar, including chief copy editor, news and web editor, before leading the paper as editor-in-chief in 2017-18. This summer, she will be working on the Houston Chronicle's Universal Desk, editing wire copy and original stories, writing headlines and preparing stories for web.
