Megan Menchaca, a multi-platform editing intern, will be working in at The Houston Chronicle. She is from Austin, Texas, and a journalism and government graduate from the University of Texas at Austin.

She has previously held internships at the Austin American-Statesman, the Dallas Morning News, and The Texas Tribune. She also held 11 positions at The Daily Texan, UT's daily student newspaper, including managing editor and news editor.

In the rare instances where she has free time, you can find her listening to NPR podcasts or catching up on the latest Netflix political dramas.
